Farmer's Market

1. A farmer's market is an marketplace that sells farmer's products. These products are produce by the farmers and are sold usually in the public.
2. People go to the farmer's market because the products are fresh and the flavor and appearance is natural. You can see the freshness of the products. While in the supermarket the products take a few days to arrive and the products aren't as fresh. Also products in the supermarket may contain diseases. Buying the products from the farmer's market helps with regional growth. It puts the money into the farmers, not just 5%. Also it reduce fuel and resources and tax dollars.
3. People may not want to go to the farmer's market because there isn't one here their neighborhood. Also they can't afford the products there. Going to the supermarket might be more convenient to some people.
4. I don't go to the farmer's market often because I don't do the shopping. My mom does the shopping instead since the closest farmer's market to my neighborhood is the Union Square one in Manhattan. so if I need to buy anything I usually go to the supermarket that is 3 blocks away from my house. I'm too lazy to travel, and if I need to shop for food my mom will take the pleasure in shopping. Also I don't think I need to because somehow my fridge is always full. I have plenty to eat except I can't eat any junk food because everything in my fridge is either healthy food or precooked healthy food (again). sometimes I wonder if I'm living the lifestyle of a monk. I'm a monk...mo- nk....mon-k... When I do go to the farmer's market I usually buy fruits and juices because they have very little meat products. I don't really like vegetables so I tend not to buy them. I know vegetables are goood for you. But I don't like it and no one and I mean no one can force me to eat veggies. You got that, don't make me beat you to .....!!!!! I love citrus fruits and juices so I buy them more often. Also I don't stay there for long because it's out int he streets so it gets really crowded and I hate crowded places. Also many things are very expensive there and there rarely are sales so I don't buy many stuff from there. Also they don't have ice cream!!! Wahhhhh!!! I like the part when you get to ask the farmer about his/ her products. They give you really interesting answers, so I buy products from them when they give funny/ interesting answers. I know I'm picky!!! ^-^
5. The Union Square farmer's market has its products coming from Katchkie Farm, New Jersey, Kinderhook, and New York too. WoHo!!! Go New York!!!
